Im very excited the january show is the smallest with everyone gearing up for new spring babys its always a great oppurtunity for deals. We hope to have our own booth when the huge may show rolls around. Has any ever been to a show?

I don't think I've ever been to a reptile show before. I hope you have fun, though!

Can I do this on a bicycle?
Not only have I been to a reptile show, I purchased one of my snakes at that show :) . That would be Mr. Whump!

I had quite a good time--it was wonderful to see all the different strains which normally one would only see pictured in either glossy magazines, or online.

Now you've got me thinking...I'll have to check to see what's going on locally.

Thanks for the reminder, lotsofpets!

our shows are january, may, november. The show was small like I said but it was still good. We have been going long enough that we get deals from our friends and its nice to see small breeders growing. We really love boas and there werent many this show more chameleons and monitors than usuall. We dont have the space for a monitor but they are beautiful. I think everyone should check a show out its like going to a $5 zoo.

I love chameleons, although I don't think I would ever have one. I don't know if I have quite the mindset for having one.

chams are very rewarding pets many will handfeed on a variety of insects and a pinky mouse every now and then, but they are very tempermental when it comes to their habitat. Many need open cages as opposed to glass because their reflection stresses them out this makes it very hard to control humidity. They can also get bacterial infections from sitting water very easily. So it has to be humid but dry lots of fresh air and high uv for calcium and vitamin d3 absorption. We had a rescued veiled chameleon for a couple years we made her a cage and misted and cleaned until our hands fell of. She passed away the 2nd year after laying a clutch of eggs. She was very cool but we opted to stay away from chams after her.
